Ronnie Fieg, a key US streetwear insider since the early age of 13, a VIP consultant for top sneaker and footwear brands, and owner of the Kith apparel brand and 19 Kith stores globally including 14 in The US, along with Paris, Seoul and Toronto , has announced he will launch a suit collection in collaboration with Giorgio Armani.
The eclectic consultant and sportswear connoisseur revealed the new project through an Instagram post showing him sitting with Giorgio Armani.
“To say that Mr. Armani is an icon would be an understatement,” explained Fieg from his own account.
“As a creative and entrepreneur, he is my North Star. His perspective on fashion changed the way the world chose to dress. “He founded his own brand and built it into an empire that he still retains 100% control 49 years later,” he continued, explaining his admiration of him for the designer and entrepreneur.
“He set the impossibly high standard that I push myself to achieve every day,” he added
Kith's owner explained that over a year ago, he had begun conversations with Giorgio Armani to work on a suiting project.
The occurrence is quite unique as since 1975, Giorgio Armani has never partnered with another brand to create a collection, while Kith succeeded in that.
“After the four years of releasing suiting under our brand, I felt we were ready to work with the best and apply a unique point of view,” Fieg explained.
After inviting Fieg and his team to Milan they presented to Giorgio Armani their idea on what a collaborative project could look like.
“Rather than a presentation or a deck, with the help of my team, I put a book together. I had the honor to take Mr. Armani through this book and share my vision with him on what Kith & Giorgio Armani could look like. Fast-forward to today…where I'm proud to announce that this dream has become a reality,” Fieg continued.
Now we can only wait and see what this unique collaboration will be like.
